A song influenced by industrial metal group Ministry, it was released as the second single from the group's debut album Pretty Hate Machine. It has also been covered by New Wave band Devo, Christian rock band Showbread, indie rock band Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives, punk rock band AFI and nu metal band Korn.
